Visit Istanbul for the EAIE's 25th Annual Conference

The 25th Annual Conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) will take place from 10“13 September 2013 at the bridge between continents, in Istanbul. This year's theme is "Weaving the future of global partnerships." 

More than 4500 higher education professionals from over 80 countries will come together to celebrate this milestone in international higher education. It will feature more than 240 inspiring activities and will have as keynote speakers one of Turkey's most acclaimed female writers, Elif Shafak. Named by critics as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Turkish and world literature,┬" Shafak's books have been translated into dozens of languages and published around the world, revealing her deep interest in history, philosophy, Sufism, oral culture and cultural politics. Her ability to break down categories, clichés and cultural ghettoes is sure to stimulate thought-provoking conversation in the context of this year's conference theme.

Another keynote speaker will be global futurist, Jack Uldrich. Hailed by BusinessWeek as 'America's Chief Unlearning Officer," Uldrich has provocative ideas about using unlearning to seize the opportunities of tomorrow.
