    Friday, June 14:

    • 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM Breakfast
    • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Leadership Meeting (includes lunch)
    • 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM Welcome Reception
    • 6:30 PM – Dinner on your own (claim per diem)

    Saturday, June 15:

    • 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM Breakfast
    • 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM Leadership Meeting (includes lunch)
    • 2:00 PM – Leadership Meeting ends for all attendees, except those serving on the Program Committee and N&E Committee
    • 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM – Program Committee and N&E Committee breakout for their meetings

    Group Rate:
    $229, plus taxes
    • State and Regional Officers – You are responsible for 100% of your lodging fees.
    • Board Members and N&E Committee Members – AACRAO will cover 100% of your lodging (up to four nights), five nights if you're AACRAO Past President.
    • SEM EP Director, ASCEND Director, Conference Directors, N&E Committee Members – AACRAO will cover 100% of your lodging (up to three nights)
    • Program Committee Members - AACRAO will cover 100% of your lodging (up to two nights). If you prefer to be matched with a roommate of the same gender, AACRAO will cover 100% of your lodging (up to three nights).
    • All other Leadership Meeting attendees – If you room alone, AACRAO will cover 100% of your lodging for one night only. If you prefer to be matched with a roommate of the same gender, AACRAO will cover 100% of your lodging (up to two nights).

      *AACRAO will add all attendees to a rooming list with the hotel based on the listed arrival and departure dates. Do not contact the hotel separately to make reservation arrangements.  If you need a check-in or check-out date that is different than what is listed above; contact Tiffany Hsu.

    • Travel Information

      State and Regional Officers are responsible for 100% of their transportation fees.

      • Air or Train Fare to Alexandria, Virginia

        Please book the most economical fare via the most direct route to Alexandria, Virginia. If you choose to fly, Ronald Reagan airport (DCA) is the closest airport. Please keep a copy of your air or train fare receipt for reimbursement.


      • Driving

        If you are planning to drive, AACRAO will reimburse for mileage up to 600 miles roundtrip. Mileage is reimbursable at the rate of .67 cents per mile (GSA guidelines). Overnight parking at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town is $36/night. AACRAO will reimburse for one night of parking. Rental cars are not reimbursable unless it’s the most economical fare via the most direct route to Alexandria, Virginia. Car rental insurance is not reimbursable.


      • Transportation to the Hotel

        DCA is a metro stop on the DC Metro Blue line. The Hilton Alexandria Old Town is one block from the King Street stop on the DC Metro Blue line; the ride is twenty minutes. One way fare is $2.20. AACRAO will reimburse metro fare from DCA to the King Street stop. We encourage you to use Metro as your method of transportation to/from the hotel. If you are unable to take metro, AACRAO will reimburse Uber/Lyft or cab fare between the airport and the hotel (please keep a copy of your receipt).


      • Airport/Hotel Parking

        AACRAO will reimburse for parking at the airport when commuting from your home to the airport (please keep a copy of your receipt).

        Overnight parking at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town is $36/night. AACRAO will reimburse for one night of parking (please keep a copy of your receipt). If you’re a Board Member, N&E Committee Member, SEM EP Director, ASCEND Director, or Conference Director and choose to drive, AACRAO will cover 100% of your parking fees.


      • Rideshare/Taxi

        Rideshare/Taxi between your home and the airport is reimbursable (please keep a copy of your receipt). If you are unable to take metro, AACRAO will reimburse for rideshare/ taxi fare between the airport and the hotel (please keep a copy of your receipt). Rideshare/Taxi used for other purposes are not reimbursable.


    • Reimbursement

      State and Regional Officers – You may submit reimbursement for meals not covered by AACRAO. Please see the per diem claim amounts below.

      All other Leadership Meeting attendees – You may submit reimbursements for the following items:

      • Airfare, Train Fare, Mileage (must attach receipt) - see registration form for further details

      • Airport Parking/Hotel Parking (must attach receipt).

      • Overnight parking at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town is $36/night.

      • Metro Fare (must attach receipt)

      • Uber/Lyft/Taxi to/from between your home and the airport (must attach receipt)

      • Checked Baggage Fees (must attach receipt)

      • Any meals not provided by AACRAO during the meeting (no receipt needed):

        • Travel Day Per Diem on June 13 - $59.25

        • Dinner Per Diem on June 14 - $36 

        • Dinner Per Diem on June 15 - $36

        • Travel Day Per Diem on June 16 - $59.25 (*Program Committee and N&E Committee Members only)

    Session Title: Psychology of Change

    Speaker Name: Dr. Joseph Drasin

    Bio: Joseph Drasin, D.M. is an accomplished practitioner and educator in the areas of change management, process improvement, and technology leadership. Currently, he is the Assistant Vice President of Service Strategy at the University of Maryland’s Division of Information Technology and serves as a member of the faculty. Dr. Drasin’s expertise has been developed over an impressive 25-year career in organizational development, change management, process engineering, enterprise system implementation, and technology leadership. He has consulted with many public and private organizations where he works to identify shared objectives and facilitates cross-organizational process designs to break down existing technological and organizational silos. A believer in the professionalism of management and leadership, his practice work is paralleled by publishing, speaking, and education on a broad number of topics.
