The American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) recently signed its first university agreement regarding its Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Endorsement. Under this agreement, professionals who have earned the SEM Endorsement will receive three credits toward the completion of the Doctor of Education: Leadership in Higher Education degree at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
“We are thrilled that a four-year university like Bethel University is recognizing the educational value of our training and endorsement,” said Mike Reilly, executive director of AACRAO.
Likewise, students at Bethel University can elect to enroll in AACRAO’s SEM Endorsement Program as part of their pursuit of the Doctor of Education degree.
“For decades, I have worked with registrars, associate registrars, and admissions personnel who have benefitted from the training AACRAO provides," said Dr. Randy Bergen, Associate Provost at Bethel "I am excited that Bethel University is now formally working with AACRAO to help educate professionals to become even more effective in their roles.”
In a recent survey, 58 percent of AACRAO’s SEM Endorsement holders expressed an interest in continuing their education in a doctoral program like the one offered at Bethel University.
“This type of arrangement encourages enrollment management professionals to continue their education and pursue a doctoral-level credential,” said Dr. Christopher W. Tremblay, Director of the SEM Endorsement Program.
