The 2017–18 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) season will begin earlier than previous FAFSA application cycles

Beginning on Oct. 1, 2016, students will be able to fill out the FAFSA for the 2017–18 school year. (In the past, they had to wait until January 1). In addition, applicants will no longer need to estimate income and tax information and will be able to retrieve their data directly from the IRS, right from the first day the FAFSA is available. Students also will have information about their Expected Family Contributions earlier, helping them as they’re going through the college application and selection process.

Lunar New Year Craft Series: Red Envelopes with the AAPI Caucus

2025 is the Year of the Wood Snake—a time for transformation, thoughtfulness, and growth. The AAPI caucus is ready to "slither" into the new year with a fun and ssserpent-inspired craft. We'll provide a simple craft template to complete together while we discusss our favorite Lunar New Year traditions (see attached instructions for list of materials). This event is open to all members of the AACRAO community. The AAPI Caucus is hiss-terically excited to celebrate with you! We hope to see you there, ready to rattle in the year with creativity and good fortune!

Supplies:
Red A4 or Letter size paper
Scissors
Glue stick
White glue and gold glitter OR gold glitter glue
