In addition, applicants will no longer need to estimate income and tax information and will be able to retrieve their data directly from the IRS, right from the first day the FAFSA is available. State of Digital Credentials in the AACRAO Community

September 27, 2023

September 27, 2023 | 3:00-4:00 pm ET
In June 2023, AACRAO conducted a brief survey to delve deeper into the status of alternative and digital credentials and the mechanisms used to record and share this learning within its community in the United States and Canada. This effort is part of AACRAO's ongoing quest for insights in this area. AACRAO members are instrumental in shaping the governance, policies, and practices surrounding digital credentials at their institutions.

The feedback from this survey, which garnered 322 responses from 48 states, Guam, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, and five Canadian provinces, serves as a valuable benchmark. It provides direction for AACRAO in terms of how best to assist our members in navigating this evolving topic within the context of learning mobility.

This webinar will share the results of the survey, with panelists unpacking the highlights, challenges, and opportunities shared by our members. They will also engage in an open discussion with participants about some of the most relevant concerns raised in the survey: Why should we care about learning mobility? What’s the big deal? And what’s the return on investment?

Participants will also be the first to have access to the report being published on the survey results: Alternative Credentials and Digital Credentials: A benchmark of current practice and perceptions within the AACRAO community in the United States and Canada.
