Education in Crisis: Afghanistan

December 9, 2021

Free Webinar | 1:00-2:00 pm ET

The events of 2021 brought Afghanistan into the forefront of the world's attention as we watched twenty years of social progress disintegrate within a month's time. This webinar will provide institutions with the historical knowledge of the education system of Afghanistan in order to provide context for the current crisis, followed by an overview of best practices in international credential evaluation for admissions. Presenters will then discuss the events of 2021 that created the crisis, and how these events and the following crisis has impacted higher education. The session will conclude with best practices in evaluation of international credentials for displaced populations and how implementing holistic and equitable admissions practices can assist in supporting access to higher education for those Afghani students who have been displaced.
