Beginning on Oct. 1, 2016, students will be able to fill out the FAFSA for the 2017–18 school year. (In the past, they had to wait until January 1). In addition, applicants will no longer need to estimate income and tax information and will be able to retrieve their data directly from the IRS, right from the first day the FAFSA is available. Students also will have information about their Expected Family Contributions earlier, helping them as they’re going through the college application and selection process.

Filipinx Administrative Leaders in Higher Education: Untapped Narratives into Diverse Leadership Approaches

May 19, 2021

Free Webinar | 2:00-3:00 pm ET

Join Dr. Tricia Ryan, chair of AACRAO's Asian-American and Pacific Islander Caucus, in a deep dive discussion of Filipinx administrators in higher education. From front-line to senior leadership, we will analyze leadership practices of people of color. This is viewed through the lens of:

  • Personal life history
  • Current leadership practices
This webinar will delve into the larger idea that the experiences of people of color in leadership positions are essential to garnering a more relevant understanding of diverse approaches to academic leadership in the United States. The unique experiences made available through Tricia’s studies provided for an emergence of critical examination into untapped narratives; valuable data from Filipinx voices who, in the research literature about Filipinx Americans, are cited as invisible in educational settings.
