Have you ever wanted to play a pivotal role in shaping an unforgettable experience for your fellow AACRAOans? Well, now’s your chance. We are looking for two enthusiastic individuals willing to serve as Co-Chairs of Volunteers for our 111th Annual Meeting in New Orleans.

You may be wondering what exactly being a Co-Chair entails. Allow me to break it down for you. First off, you will have the opportunity to extend a heartfelt invitation to our New Orleans meeting during the Business Meeting in Seattle. The spotlight is yours, so let your creativity shine. Whether you are planning a quirky skit or showcasing the best of New Orleans through a captivating video, the stage is yours to make a lasting impression.

That’s just the beginning. As a Co-Chair, you’ll be the local ambassador, immersing yourself in the local scene, actively seeking top-notch entertainers, local speakers, and must-visit hotspots throughout New Orleans. Your insider knowledge will be invaluable in ensuring that attendees have an unforgettable experience. Not to be forgotten is the opportunity you will have to lead a team of dedicated AACRAO members as volunteers, guiding them in various tasks such as giving directions, staffing the hospitality booth, and setting up a Little Free Library in honor of our late past president, Tina Falkner. In addition, you will have the chance to work closely with our Meetings Team and previous Co-Chairs, who will provide guidance and support along the way.

We do have a few requirements for serving as a Co-Chair:

  1. You must be able to attend the 2025 Annual Meeting in Seattle and the 2026 Annual Meeting in New Orleans

  2. You need to live in or close to New Orleans, as much of the activity required is local.

In return for your service as a Co-Chair, you will receive free registration for the 2026 Annual Meeting, stylish shirts to rock during the event, and our eternal gratitude.

So, what are you waiting for? Step up, volunteer, and be a part of something truly special at the 2026 Annual Meeting in New Orleans. If this opportunity piques your interest, email reyesm@aacrao.org for more information.
