A state appeals court ruled on Friday that the University of Florida may ban guns in dormitories, upholding a trial court’s decision in a lawsuit filed by Florida Carry Inc. last year.
The News Service of Florida reports that a three-judge panel of the First District Court of Appeal ruled that a state law forbidding guns on school property outweighs a law allowing people to keep guns in their homes. Florida Carry had argued the opposite.
