Lead Contact in a Functional Area
AACRAO's research and engagement initiatives seek to serve the ongoing needs of our membership and contribute to a better understanding of current and leading practice. Lead contacts are a vital partner in gathering data through surveys and other methods, and ensure the voices of their institution and profession are heard and represented in national research, policy, and task forces.
We hope to utilize the expertise of the lead contacts from each institution to gather relevant and up-to-date information for institutional decision-makers. Example research and engagement initiatives include transfer patterns and institution support, Career Profile Reports, task forces, work groups, and more. You can find out more about the research being conducted and how institutional contacts are contributing to policies and national research at https://www.aacrao.org/research-publications/research, and engagement opportunities at https://www.aacrao.org/who-we-are/get-involved.
Lead contacts will receive a summary of key findings and will be contacted no more than once a month for research purposes.
AACRAO members can choose to be a lead contact in any of the five functional areas:
- Records and Academic Services
- Enrollment Management
- Admissions Operations and Domestic Recruitment
- Transfer and Articulation
- International Recruitment and Evaluation

Primary Contact
An AACRAO primary contact is the main point of contact for billing, institutional membership, and updating membership rosters. If a lead contact is not listed for an institution, the primary contact will be the default lead contact for that institution.
