Social media is a great way to connect personally -- to share photos, keep in touch with friends and family and stay abreast of news. Many professionals have also found that social media can be a great professional resource, as well, to keep up on current topics and issues, network with colleagues, and build professional communities around common interests.
Over the past year, AACRAO has worked to increase its social media presence on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. On Facebook, we share information on our activities and build community among members. On Twitter, we share higher education-focused news, and participate in chats like #EMchat. On LinkedIn, we share news and host a Registrar's discussion group .
We are looking for a few members who would be interested in devoting approximately ten hours per month to facilitate discussions on current topics on social media platforms, specifically Twitter and LinkedIn.
