SEM can provide solutions for today's higher education challenges

  • AACRAO Connect

The changing landscape of higher education has positioned administrators to serve in leadership roles and embrace initiatives to meet recruitment, admissions, and financial aid goals. As an enrollment management professional, it is critical to your institution's mission that you are at the forefront of trends, technology, and best practices.

At AACRAO’s first SEM Conference 25 years ago, the association established the term Strategic Enrollment Management, and still today, the conference continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of SEM practitioners, as well as the students and institutions they serve. We invite you to join us as a presenter at the meeting to continue the conversation about SEM's role on your campus. This year’s SEM Conference will be held November 1-4 at The Diplomat in Hollywood, FL.  Registration and hotel reservations will open in the summer.

Share your knowledge and experience

Session proposals are now being accepted for AACRAO’s 25th Annual Strategic Enrollment Management Conference. We offer sessions for SEM practitioners—from those new to the profession to senior enrollment officers—at all types of institutions including baccalaureate/graduate, community colleges, Canadian institutions, graduate and professional schools, and international institutions.

Suggested presentation topics, details on selection criteria, and information on corporate presentations are available online.  The National Student Clearinghouse Research Center will once again sponsor a research-specific track at SEM. View the complete guidelines for this track.  The Submission Deadline is May 22, 2015.

New presentation opportunity: SEM Hot Topics

Consider participating in a new, fast, and topic-focused presentation format.  These sessions will feature five speakers giving five minute speeches on a specific SEM research, recruitment, or retention topic.  Each speaker will use 10 slides that advance every 30 seconds.  A robust question and answer session will follow the five presentations. Please indicate your willingness to participate during the session submission process.
