Save the date: AACRAO's 2015 Annual Meeting

April 21, 2014
  • AACRAO Annual Meeting
  • AACRAO Connect

We just returned from a very successful Annual Meeting in Denver, where we had over 2,200 people in attendance. The continued success of our events is in large part due to the strong involvement and participation in the planning and content of our meeting.

We have already begun working on our 101st Annual Meeting, April 12-15, 2015, at the Baltimore Convention Center. The Call for Proposals is open and we invite you to submit your session ideas by the May 5th deadline.  If you aren’t quite ready to do a formal presentation, then consider doing a Poster Session, where you can discuss your topic with peers in an informal setting, somewhat like an information fair. Find additional information online.

It has come to our attention that AACRAO’s 2015 Annual Meeting and Ellucian Live’s dates (April 12-15) will overlap next year. We are aware that this has caused concern for many of our members.  AACRAO’s meeting sites are selected five years in advance, and we just recently discovered that spring break along the east coast is scheduled at the same time as we were planning our meeting. Since a large number of institutions are within close proximity of Baltimore, we rescheduled the meeting to accommodate our membership.

Ellucian has been a long-time AACRAO member and supporter, and we did not intend to create a conflict with their event. Unfortunately, the only available dates for the city of Baltimore to accommodate our group coincides with Ellucian Live.

We understand that both AACRAO’s Annual Meeting and Ellucian Live are important events for many of our members to attend. Please continue to check our website for the latest information on the meeting. We hope to see you in Baltimore!
