AACRAO is seeking a member volunteer to serve as the association's representative on the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) Council. The CAS Council is a collaborative body of over 40 professional associations representing over 115,000 professionals in higher education. CAS develops and promotes standards and guidelines for a wide range of areas related to the college student experience, including admissions, academic advising, enrollment management, and student success.
The AACRAO CAS Council representative will play a vital role in ensuring that AACRAO's voice is heard in the development and implementation of CAS standards. The representative will attend monthly CAS Council meetings, participate in discussions and decision-making, and submit regular reports to the AACRAO Board of Directors on the activities of the CAS Council and any updates to standards that are relevant to the AACRAO professions. The representative will also stay alert to opportunities for collaboration between CAS and AACRAO.
This is a unique and important opportunity for an AACRAO member to make a significant contribution to the advancement of standards in higher education. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AACRAO's mission and values, as well as experience working with CAS standards.
