By Paige Selman Boucher, AACRAO Community and Volunteer Manager
AACRAO is pleased to announce a new Community and Content Facilitator (CCF): Jennifer Minke, Assistant Director of Admissions at Tarrant County College District (TCCD). She joins Patrick Frazier, Leah McCormack, Dr. Jill Megredy, Becky Tankersley, and Kimberly Watley on our current team of CCFs.
Our CCFs primarily work with the AACRAO Community and Volunteer Manager (CVM), Paige Selman Boucher, to identify hot-button topics, find excellent panelists, and create interactive engagement opportunities outside AACRAO’s in-person events. They actively participate in moderation and engagement measurement and share feedback from various membership interest groups. The CCFs are a crucial part of AACRAO’s strategy to help ensure members can get involved year-round. If you are interested in connecting with our CCFs or have questions about how you can use the AACRAO Exchange, continue reading for a list of options.
About Jennifer
In her new role as a CCF, Jennifer is passionate about continuing to contribute her knowledge and experience to the AACRAO community. She aspires to foster a collaborative environment where individuals can come together, share their insights, and collectively advance their understanding in the field.
Jennifer has extensive experience in higher education, both at large and small institutions. In her current role at TCCD, a community college in Fort Worth, Texas, she leads admissions processing, international admissions, and F-1 student compliance. In the past, she has also led VA certification at TCCD. Prior to TCCD, she worked at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and the University of Idaho.
In addition to her work on campus, Jennifer has been and continues to be an active member of AACRAO and enjoys engaging with other member volunteers. She has served as the Vice President for International Education on the Board of Directors, been a member of the International Education Standards Council (IESC), contributed to numerous AACRAO publications, and participated in several committees, including the International Admissions Committee and International Research Advisory Committee. After leaving her most recent volunteer position at AACRAO, she felt that becoming a CCF would allow her to remain engaged with AACRAO in a new capacity.
Engage with us
We encourage you to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of our CCFs. They are actively involved in the AACRAO Exchange discussions and resources. Common activities include contributing content such as asking discussion-provoking questions, responding to questions posed by peers, posting insightful articles relevant to the AACRAO community, and acknowledging and celebrating member achievements, frameworks, and more. They also share updates from the AACRAO staff with the AACRAO membership.
Along with responsibilities in the AACRAO Exchange, the CCFs take turns selecting and facilitating topics for the AACRAO Collective. These sessions will typically occur on the fourth Thursday of the month, excluding July and August.
