Madeleine Albright to speak at AACRAO Annual Meeting

The closing session of the conference promises to bring one of the most engaging sessions in recent memory.  Madeleine Albright, one of the most signficant figures on the world stage in the last years of the 20th century, played a major role in the foreign policy of the Clinton administration.  As ambassador to the United Nations and as Secretary of State, she was plainspoken and engaging, dealing with crises that affected millions of lives.  Anyone with her experiences has a lot to share with her audiences as she levels her clear-eyed insights at the crises of today.  Her prepared remarks at the opening of the session promise to hold the audience's attention with her characteristic candor and memorable rhetoric.

What makes this session so engaging for AACRAO is what comes after the opening remarks.  Dr. Albright will sit down for an AACRAO conversation with our members, moderated by former AACRAO president Stan Henderson.  Dr. Albright will share her thoughts about what's on AACRAO's collective mind as Stan and audience members ask questions for a full half hour.  We encourage your questions about not only the history she witnessed and made but also about breaking the glass ceiling in diplomacy, about her love of higher education--maybe even those pins and brooches she's famous for wearing.  Join our AACRAO Conversation with Dr. Albright.
