Dear Readers,
As the new editor of this AACRAO Connect newsletter, I want to express my gratitude for your commitment to our profession and the sustainability of our professional community. I'm energized by promoting the thought leadership that upholds the integrity and expertise we represent as higher education practitioners.
This newsletter thrives because of the thoughtful contributions and concentrated attention of people like you. Thank you to those who browse through our stories, write articles at our events, submit questions to our experts, or share your lessons learned and best practices. Your unique voices and mindsets make this series a true reflection of our collective work. Please continue to advance the conversation—your perspective could spark meaningful ideas and inspire peers across the industry.
As we move through the giving season and into the new year, I encourage us all to reflect on the values and sentiments that often go unnoticed in the rigor of our academic calendars. While our schedules are filled with course registrations, email campaigns, grade submissions, committee meetings, transcript orders, and degree audits, they rarely include placeholders for generosity, community, and mutual support. Yet, these principles retain and strengthen us as professionals and individuals.
With appreciation,
Autumn Walden
