Young professional choosing content.

AACRAO is pleased to announce a new Community and Content Facilitator (CCF): Patrick Frazier, Associate Director of Admissions Marketing and Events in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Western Carolina University. He joins Kimberly Watley, Leah McCormack, Dr. Jill Megredy, David Paltza, and Becky Tankersley on the current team of CCFs.

Patrick brings over 16 years of admissions experience to the table. He has worked his way up through various roles, from admissions counselor to his current role as Associate Director of Admissions Marketing & Events at Western Carolina University. He is also the current president of SACRAO (Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers) and a past president of CACRAO (Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars & Admissions Officers).

AACRAO CCFs primarily work with the AACRAO Community and Volunteer Manager (CVM), Paige Selman Boucher, to identify hot-button topics, find excellent panelists, and create interactive engagement opportunities outside AACRAO’s in-person events. They also actively participate in community moderation and engagement measurement, and share feedback from across the various membership interest groups. The CCFs are all a key part of AACRAO’s strategy to help make sure members can get involved year-round and that AACRAO is providing the resources and information that members need.

Staying On Course

This group of leaders impacts how AACRAO identifies and delivers content and professional development to amplify AACRAO’s mission, vision, values, and goals. The CCFs meet, along with Paige, once per month. During these meetings they share information members post in the AACRAO Exchange, share ideas about the AACRAO Exchange, and give feedback about Collectives. It is also a great time for the CCFs to connect with one another.

The CCFs are actively involved in the AACRAO Exchange discussions and resources. They contribute content such as asking discussion-provoking questions, responding to questions posed by peers, posting insightful articles relevant to the AACRAO community, acknowledging and celebrating member achievements, frameworks, and more. They also share updates from the AACRAO staff with the AACRAO membership.

Along with responsibilities in the AACRAO Exchange, the CCFs take turns selecting topics for the AACRAO Collective. They can either facilitate the session or reach out to a facilitator who has more expertise in the area of discussion that month. These sessions will typically occur on the fourth Thursday of the month, excluding July and August.

Learn more about the roles and responsibilities of the Community and Content Facilitators. You can also get involved today by:

  • Joining the AACRAO Exchange: Dive into discussions, ask questions, and share your insights. The CCFs are actively involved, so you might just see Patrick there.

  • Attend AACRAO Collective Gatherings: These virtual sessions tackle key topics on the fourth Thursday of most months (excluding July and August). Patrick and the CCF team will either lead the discussion themselves or find an expert to guide you. Keep an eye out for registration info a month in advance.
