Becoming a Fellow of the International Education Standards Council (IESC) provides a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge, expand your professional network, and contribute to the field of international credential evaluation. The IESC Fellowship program offers hands-on experience in conducting research, engaging in deep discussions, and presenting findings to the broader community.

The IESC Fellow concept allows AACRAO to continue providing invaluable professional development opportunities for those interested in international education research, said Robert Watkins, Assistant Director of Admissions at The University of Texas at Austin. It's a chance to learn from experts, gain insights into the deliberative process, and increase your knowledge and skill sets.

For the 2024-25 academic year the fellows will focus on the topic: Transnational Education and Dual/Joint Degree Programs.

As an IESC Fellow, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Present your research at a professional conference
  • Publish your findings in AACRAO EDGE, the Electronic Database for Global Education, and other widely distributed works

The AACRAO International Education Standards Council (IESC) is a volunteer assembly of experienced professionals in international admissions and credential evaluations. Fellows will gain valuable insights and learn best practices from these professionals with decades of experience.

  • Present your research findings and conclusions at the AACRAO Annual Meeting
  • Serve as a non-voting member and participant-observer of the IESC, joining bi-weekly calls
  • Potentially serve on the International Publications Advisory Committee (IPAC)

Ideal Applicants:
