In October, a team from AACRAO attended the sixth congress of ARSEE, a national association aimed at promoting the development of school and student services in public and private higher education institutions in Mexico.

Bob Bontrager, Senior Director of AACRAO Consulting and SEM Initiatives, delivered a keynote address on strategic enrollment management at the conference. Associate Executive Director Janie Barnett and Natalia Jimenez, Assistant Director, Marketing, also attended.

“This has been a wonderful partnership for ARSEE and AACRAO,” Barnett said. “Puebla--where the conference was held--is beautiful, and we heard many attendees say how much they got out of the experience.”

ARSEE is an national organization with a similar mission to AACRAO. “We have been sharing content and doing reciprocal conference visits,” Barnett said. “The exchange has enriched us all.”

This year’s ARSEE meeting theme was innovation and leadership in school administration, hosting 368 attendees from more than 100 universities and institutions of higher education from 26 states of Mexico. Topics covered include: strategic enrollment management, accreditation of school services, legal framework and internationalization.
