The American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) invites applicants for the position of Director of the AACRAO Technology & Transfer Conference. The conference takes place each July.
The Technology & Transfer Conference Director must be affiliated with and supported by an AACRAO Member institution. The new director will assume full responsibility of the position in 2017. In the interim, the 2016 Conference (July 10-12 in Anaheim) will provide the new director an opportunity to transition into the position, working alongside the current director.
The role of the Technology & Transfer Conference Director is to:
- Develop the conference program;
- Chair the selection process for an advisory committee;
- Recruit and select breakout sessions in coordination with the advisory committee; and
- Assist AACRAO staff with the promotion of the event and the necessary on-site activities required for a successful event.
This position is remotely-based and requires occasional travel to the AACRAO office in Washington, DC, and to site planning visits around the country. There will be a stipend paid in a single allotment at the completion of the conference. The Director will be reimbursed for necessary expenses/supplies related to work on the conference.
The ideal applicant has previous conference planning experience; a strong, diverse network in higher education; and a demonstrated commitment to AACRAO.
