In lieu of this year’s cancelled Annual Meeting, AACRAO’s Board of Directors opted to move forward with a virtual Business Meeting, along with a motion to suspend the rules and allow for online voting. After all, important matters pertaining to AACRAO members still need to be decided upon, despite the ongoing pandemic.
With quorum met, this meeting allowed active institutional members to vote on matters such as budget and approving the 2019 Business Session Minutes. The AACRAO Board also provided key updates, including an introduction to incoming board members and the unveiling of the new External Board Member, Rob Shomaker (CUPA-HR). Past President Luisa Havens Gerardo gave opening remarks, signifying a passing of the torch to President, Jack Miner and President-Elect, Tiffany Robinson. AACRAO Executive Director Mike Reilly also spoke to the cancellation of AACRAO’s Annual Meeting in New Orleans, and indicated future plans for virtual sessions for members.
