On March 20 & 21, 2017, AACRAO International hosted an Intensive China and India Workshop in Washington DC.  The workshop taught attendees the specifics of Chinese and Indian credentials through interactive activities such as “Guess that Credential” and “College Scavenger Hunt in India”.  Attendees spent time working in small groups reviewing sample credentials and determining:

- accreditation status for Indian and Chinese universities

- characteristics of graduation and degree certificates

- standardized degree formats

- how to calculate transfer credit when no course hours are listed

The experience level for the group of participants ranged from beginner to intermediate.  Overall, the reviews were extremely positive for the workshop. Here is what our attendees had to say:

“I really enjoyed the training and felt confident when I left!”

“This was the best workshop I’ve ever taken”

“The instructors were not only highly proficient in the subject matter, but their teaching style was extremely effective and I stayed engaged the entire time.”
