by AACRAO President Tina Falkner Sunday morning at Tech/Transfer several AACRAO members had an opportunity to sit down face-to-face with a few of our corporate partners to discuss some key topics important to the association and how these partners might help us move forward to achieving these goals. Three of the conversations were particularly salient to our continued work at Tech/Transfer: 1. Gender Identity information and where it is stored and ‘flows’ from our systems; 2. GDPR's potential impact what information we collect about students, how we collect it and what we do with that information; and 3. The Comprehensive Learner Record and how it may move forward to support our students goals. I was heartened by the candor of the discussion and the true sense of partnering to find solutions and I look forward to future discussion and action. The meeting was productive and future meetings with corporate partners are in the works.
