Around the world, COVID-19 has affected educational norms; academic calendars have been adjusted, and classroom protocols are ever-changing. News of these changes has engrossed the lives of students, families, educators, and school administrators.

AACRAO EDGE has been working to make sure subscribers stay up to date with the latest information through the Emergent News feature. This past year, we have seen significant disruption of students’ academic proficiency, school-leaving, and university entrance exams. One week, education ministries propose new policy implementations for exams to go forward for students. The following week, the exams are postponed or canceled due to rising health and safety concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic. News about students’ examinations dominate the news cycle these days, and it can be difficult to keep track of every exam status around the world.

AACRAO EDGE is pleased to announce the International Exam Status Report, which can be found in the References section of the AACRAO International page. The International Exam Status Report is a new resource that gives users a quick status update on examinations from various countries. Status updates on this report are cited by Emergent News alerts published on AACRAO EDGE. The Emergent News team will be updating this report regularly, as new examination information is announced to the public from education officials and news agencies. Please contribute to this report and submit news articles about academic proficiency, school-leaving, and university entrance exams, by sending a message with a link to your news article to our International News Content Curator, Jonathan Cao-Nguyen, at cao-nguyen@aacrao.org.

Continue to access these and all other previous news alerts using the Emergent News feature on AACRAO EDGE. You can access alerts from specific countries by visiting their Overviews within EDGE. And by bookmarking a specific country, you will be notified when a new Emergent News item is posted pertaining to that system.

We hope this resource will assist you in this next cycle as the world continues to adapt to the changes from the pandemic.
