Slate Position: 2025-2026 Nominations and Elections Committee

Position Statement:

As the Director of the Office of the Registrar at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy (AMDA) and the Vice Chair of AMDA's Academic Council, I am deeply committed to advancing higher education and eager to contribute to AACRAO's mission through the Nominations and Elections Committee. I understand the importance and value of being actively involved in AACRAO, which has resulted in my participation in Hill Day 2023, membership in Black Causes, being a scholar in the Ascend program's fourth cohort, a speaker at the 2024 AACRAO Annual meeting, and active contributions to AACRAO Connect, provides a comprehensive understanding of the field's challenges and opportunities.

I am passionate about promoting excellence and innovation in this field, and effective leadership is essential for achieving these goals. By participating in the Nominations and Elections Committee, I see an opportunity to play a direct role in shaping AACRAO's leadership and strategic direction. Drawing on my experience as a registrar and my involvement in academic leadership, I am well-positioned to identify and advocate for qualified candidates who can advance the organization's mission.

Furthermore, serving on the Nominations and Elections Committee offers invaluable networking opportunities and the chance to collaborate with like-minded professionals who share my passion for AACRAO and higher education. I am eager to contribute my insights and expertise to the Committee's work, learn from my peers, and expand my professional network.

Ultimately, my interest in joining the Nominations and Elections Committee stems from my dedication to AACRAO's mission, my desire to contribute meaningfully to higher education administration, and my commitment to personal growth and leadership development. I am excited about the prospect of serving on this Committee and making a positive impact within AACRAO and the broader higher education community.

Director, Office of the Registrar Working in higher education for over a decade in various roles in small, large, not-for-profit, and for-profit institutions has given me a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the office of the registrar and enrollment services. My role as an associate registrar and registrar has paved the way for my current position as the Director of the Office of the Registrar for AMDA's New York campus. The current role allows me to refine, develop, and implement policies pertaining to the registrar's office. One of the things that I enjoy the most is finding ways to engage our students, as our office is primarily in a remote setting. I am an active member of AMDA's Academic Council, an excellent way to contribute to the institution's broader mission as a recommending body.
