Dr. Allan C. Mathew is an enrollment management professional with over a decade of experience in graduate and undergraduate admissions. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Graduate Admissions at Tufts University, he has successfully led a team serving the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and the School Engineering, growing applications and enrollments at both schools. Before Tufts, he held leadership roles at the University of Texas at Dallas, a large public R1 institution, and Messiah University, a small liberal arts institution in central Pennsylvania. Allan enjoys many aspects of enrollment management, but in particular, he enjoys optimizing admissions processes, critically thinking about care and advocacy through student-centered recruitment, and leveraging data-driven marketing and technology to enhance institution and student engagement in the admissions process.
Holding a PhD in Higher Education, his research focuses on race and representation in enrollment management and higher education leadership. He is an adjunct professor, published scholar, and speaker at national conferences. He is also a father, brother, son of immigrants, and partner who loves golf, eating delicious food, and rooting for all things Philadelphia (Go Birds!)!
