AACRAO released the first newly designed issue of SEM Quarterly in May. The journal moved from a traditional online format published by Wiley Online Library to an innovative style published in-house by AACRAO. SEMQ articles can now be read directly from the new AACRAO website, and PDFs of the articles and issues are also available to download.

The redesigned SEMQ includes colorful charts and graphics as well as references with live links. Over the upcoming months, SEMQ will include a citation generator to make referencing research easier. In addition, journal archives will be added to the new site.

“As we move into our next phase of growth for the journal, we are excited to provide easier access to its content for AACRAO members and other researchers,” said Editor-in-Chief Tom Green.

Topics in the May 2018 issue include:

  • women and leadership in the SEM field;
  • adult student perceptions of  institutional practices;
  • the impact of campus environments on college choice and persistence; and
  • data analytics in enrollment management.

The current issue includes articles by Susan Gottheil, University of Manitoba; Shane Crounse, Vanderbilt University; Lygie Hinkle, American Association of State Colleges and Universities; Christin Shatzer, Lipscomb University; Scott Secore, University of the Cumberlands; Robert Muhammad, Winston Salem State University; and Kristen McManus, freelance editor.

The redesign was done by Spark Media Group.
