The CAS (Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education) Standards Management Committee invited AACRAO to partner in updating the CAS Admission standards. We appreciate the opportunity to provide subject matter experts from our professional membership for the CAS Admission Standards Committee.

The Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education works to promote intra-campus collaboration and good practices supported by the expertise of AACRAO members and more than 40 other professional associations. To this end, CAS has successfully developed 48 sets of functional area standards and 3 cross-functional frameworks for higher education programs and services.

Member representatives will be tasked with reviewing the CAS Contextual Statement. Then other member representatives will assist with reviewing the CAS Standards pertaining to program and services, human resources, and technology. We would like to provide a pool of diverse experts – especially including HSIs, HBCUs, public, private, 2-year, 4-year, etc.

AACRAO members who have previously participated in this work include:

  • Rebecca Mathern, Associate Provost and University Registrar, Oregon State University
  • Brooke Holt, Dean of Student Services/Registrar, Northwest Arkansas Community College
  • Rob Hornberger, Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management and Services/Registrar, Missouri State University

If you are interested in being considered for this important task, click here and apply before March 4, 2022.
