Updates to Secondary Education in the UK: GCSEs and A-Levels

May 16, 2019

Free webinar

In the United Kingdom, both the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) and A-Levels have recently been reformed, and a new grading system has been brought in for GCSEs. Participants will learn about the old and new grading systems, as well as receive background information on the nature of the reforms.

Look at exam boards and how they assess students at each level of education; learn about the ‘Sixth Form,’ A-Level performance and subject choice, and how this relates to university admissions; and examine some of the differences across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales (there isn’t just one UK system).
