David Dufault-Hunter, AVP for Enrollment Services at California State University – Northridge, will discuss CSUN’s efforts to build a healthy sense of belonging for students before/after they arrive on campus to improve the overall student experience and build enrollment. Enrollment results and key takeaways will be presented from CSUN’s 12,000 student randomized controlled trial (RCT) on Nearpeer’s 2022/23 impact. RCTs are the gold standard for impact measurement.

The presentation will closely examine first-year, transfer, international, BIPOC, and other important student populations.

Christopher Quinn, COO of Nearpeer.com, will join Dr. Dufault-Hunter. Nearpeer is an innovative peer engagement solution that students love to use to “find their people” and make meaningful connections that build strong community amongst incoming students. In addition, Christopher will share a closer look at the student experience within the Nearpeer platform and feature student and staff perspectives.
