Join a Watch Party with AACRAO's Asian-American and Pacific Islander Caucus

May 21, 2021

Watch Party | 3 p.m. ET - 4:15 p.m. ET
Join members of AACRAO's Asian-American and Pacific Islander Caucus as we gather to watch "Breaking Ground," part of a PBS miniseries exploring Asian-American and Pacific Islander history in the U.S. during #AsianHeritageMonth.

"Breaking Ground" explores how in an era of exclusion and U.S. empire, new immigrants arrive from China, India, Japan, the Philippines and beyond. Barred by anti-Asian laws they become America’s first “undocumented immigrants,” yet they build railroads, dazzle on the silver screen, and take their fight for equality to the U.S. Supreme Court.

This virtual social event is designed to be engaging and relaxed - bring your Friday snacks, and movie glasses.
