Comprehensive Learner Records: A Student-Centric Approach

December 3, 2019 - December 3, 2019

Free webinar | Postponed

Join AACRAO, Thomas Black, Assistant Vice Provost and Registrar, The Johns Hopkins University, and Sabih Bin Wasi, Founder & CEO of Stellic for a conversation about The Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR).

Many institutions are exploring the potential of the CLR as a way to better document and validate the skills, knowledge, and abilities that learners develop throughout their education and beyond. The CLR goes beyond the basic list of courses, professors, and dates, often bringing in experience from research, internships, community service, and study abroad.

In this webinar, we’ll explore how the CLR benefits the learner. How does it change the way they tell their story to potential employers? Stepping back even further,  how does the CLR impact the way students plan their pathways and pursue their degrees? And finally, what role does technology play in helping learners build their body of knowledge?

Thomas Black will share his perspective as an administrator on the leading edge of CLR development and as a participant in two CLR grant projects funded by the Lumina Foundation while he served as registrar at Stanford University and now Johns Hopkins.
