A number of signs point to the for-profit company Anthem Education closing two of its three Missouri campuses in Fenton and Maryland Heights over the next two months.
But company spokesman Ryan Toohey would not confirm the closings Monday, even while acknowledging the company is in the middle of a serious cash crunch.
Anthem Education, which operates 34 campuses across the country, including the three Anthem College locations in Missouri, filed notice with the state last week that 67 employees would be laid off by Sept. 15.
