POSITION SUMMARY
Under the leadership of the Director of Marketing and Communication, the Content Strategy Manager plays a pivotal role in the Communication and Marketing team as the lead storyteller, managing, coordinating, and translating AACRAO content into a consistent
voice at every touchpoint.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as editor of AACRAO Connect, a biweekly newsletter; strategically recruits, writes, and edits article submissions. Can recognize good stories and exercises good storytelling skills.
- Provides direct operational support across AACRAO departments, including copywriting, development of written assets, and narrative recommendations that align with AACRAO’s strategic goals.
- Manages technical backend support to synchronize and automate the use of AACRAO's communication platforms.
- Monitors, assesses, and utilizes data to develop strategies to grow website traffic, engagement, and determine effectiveness of communication.
- Assists the Director with managing public relations and executes regular media outreach by identifying and researching media outlets, producers, editors, and reporters receptive to AACRAO's message.
- Works across departments to ensure that all AACRAO copywriting is held to a high standard and consistently tells the same AACRAO story.
- Writes strong and effective email, site, and social media copy that reflects AACRAO’s strategic goals and values.
