The island’s private schools have announced the cancellation of this year’s IGCSE and International Baccalaureate exams in the face of ongoing restrictions against Covid-19. Public schools earlier this month had the Cambridge Checkpoint exams called off for P6 students, while the IGCSE was pulled for senior school students.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced on Tuesday the schedule for Classes 10 and 12 board exams, which will begin on May 4. The exams for Class 10 will conclude on June 7, while those for Class 12 will conclude on June 10.

The 2021 baccalaureate session will be organized by the Bac Office housed within the Joseph KI-Zerbo University and it will have no changes, said the National Education and Higher Education. Baccalaureate holders were also reassured that they will be able to continue to register on the Campus Faso platform for the various orientations, as is currently the case for holders of the baccalaureate from Mali, Benin and Côte d'Ivoire who have always enrolled in universities.
