ANEP authorities announced additional investments in Primary, Secondary, UTU and Vocational Training that will translate into the incorporation of thousands of hours in tutorials, so that students receive support in completing the courses. In addition, 2,000 directors of educational centers will have access to professional development instances.

Big jumps in the proportion of top grades will translate directly into points for college entry and create razor-sharp competition for popular courses in next week’s CAO Round 1 offers. Because of the Covid pandemic, the class of 2021 had the option of receiving accredited grades, based on teachers/school estimated marks, doing exams or both.

The second edition of the Basic Cycle accreditation test, AcreditaCB, was carried out by 6,447 people, almost double that of last year. The evaluation was carried out in 53 offices located throughout the country through the SEA platform of Plan Ceibal.

The Undersecretariat of Education and the DEMRE of the University of Chile confirmed that there will be an extraordinary period of registration for the Transition Test (PDT). This exam, which replaces the old University Selection Test (PSU) , is the mechanism currently used in Chile to enter higher education.

Brazil Minister of Education defended the return of students to face-to-face classes in schools and mentioned that studies by international organizations show that closing schools has devastating consequences for students, such as loss of learning, progress in knowledge and an increase in school dropout.
