Baccalaureate recorrection shows no grading errors, after student protests

The Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) has replied to students from the town of Taounate who protested the alleged inaccurate correction of baccalaureate exams. Students traveled to the imperial city to protest and demanding the correction of their exam papers, in accordance with the criteria set out by the Ministry of Education. Several weeks later, Morocco MOE reports a record-breaking exam retake season.

The United Kingdom Government has announced in an official statement that students in England will receive teacher assessed grades for GCSE and A level results this summer. This come after an outpouring of anger over the decision to use an algorithm to determine grades that led to almost 40% of predicted results being downgraded.

High school graduation exam still on schedule despite COVID-19

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has instructed the Ministry of Education and Training to hold the high school graduation examination in all provinces and cities as previously scheduled, including in Da Nang where new COVID-19 cases have appeared. The examination date is two months later than in previous years because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Peru and France sign an agreement for COAR students to learn the French language

A global online petition is being circulated and has drawn over 23,000 signatures so far.

Sweden set to cancel university entry exam for second time due to coronavirus

Sweden Education Minister announced that a university entry exam, the Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (SweSAT), is likely to be canceled again due to the Covid-19 pandemic and will move to spring 2021 instead. The move to cancel the exam comes after consultation with the universities responsible for carrying out the tests, and the body responsible for organising the exams recommending their cancellation.
