Because of the restrictions imposed by the new coronavirus pandemic, one of Brazil's public government universities, Federal University of Pará, announced that they will admit students based off of students' Enem exam and not through the traditional Vestibular university entrance system.
The University Council of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) informed last week that the National High School Examination (Enem) will be maintained as a way of entering the institution.
In this case, those interested in entering the university through Vestibular 2021 should participate in the Enem 2020 exams , scheduled to be applied on January 17 and 24, 2021 in the printed version, and January 31 and February 7 in the digital version.
Enem was already used as the only means of selecting the university since 2013. The institution does not participate in the Unified Selection System (SiSU).
During the extraordinary meeting held by the board, the news for the next selection process was also discussed and, among them, are the changes in the selection by quotas . See what they are:
Adoption of the verification process for applicants for quotas for blacks by a Heteroidentification Commission
Inclusion of new registration form to facilitate the correct option for quotas
The institution has not yet released the notice and has also not defined the vestibular 2021 schedule. The expectation is that the information will be defined by December 28th.
