There will be official results and a recalculated score for the CE1D and CESS exams. This was detailed in a circular issued by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. Here are some excerpts.
First announcement: the tests will be stamped "CE1D 2020". Documents that were not used last June following the cancellation of the exams will therefore be used this year. “This is not a mistake. We invite the teaching teams to reassure the students in advance about this. This test assesses the essentials among the knowledge, know-how and skills that have been defined, transmitted to schools and made available to the teaching teams at the start of the 2020 school year to ensure students the best chances of success. », Specifies the circular.
For CE1D like CESS, the teacher will have to calculate “as an indication” the score of the failed pupils “by not taking into account questions related to subjects not seen. A tool will be made available to the departments in order to facilitate the calculation ”. Why such a provision? The assessment and the indicative score will be used during class deliberations "in order to make the fairest decision for each student in a situation of failure", specifies the circular.
