The Serbian government decided at its meeting today that the introduction of the state matriculation exam will be postponed until the 2028/2029 school year.

As stated in the report, the government adopted amended decisions of the Law on the Fundamentals of the Education and Training System and the Law on Secondary Education and Training.
Education Minister Slavica Djukic Dejanovic previously said that the state matriculation exam, which was supposed to be introduced in the 2025/26 academic year, would be postponed.
