The delegate of Education and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía in Córdoba, Inmaculada Troncoso, has indicated this Friday that a total of 1,212 people have registered to participate in Córdoba in the tests to obtain the title of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO ) for people over 18 years of age and Bachelor's degrees for people over 20 years of age, which will take place on Saturday, April 23, simultaneously in all provinces.
As indicated by the Junta de Andalucía in a note, the tests to obtain the title of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education, with 977 registered in our province, constitute a way for those over 18 years of age to access this basic qualification in the educational system that allows them, in turn, to continue their academic training at the higher levels of Baccalaureate and Training Cycles.
For the organization of the tests, which take place in the morning and afternoon, a total of six evaluation commissions have been set up in Córdoba.
The tests are conceived as a second chance for students who left the educational system prematurely, as well as for those who were unable to train in their day. The Ministry of Education and Sport holds two calls each year, in April and June.
The contents of the exercises are those corresponding to Compulsory Secondary Education for adults and are organized around three areas of knowledge: Scientific-technological, Social and Communication. In order to obtain the degree, it is necessary to pass all three exercises, although, if all the tests are not passed, the qualifications of the approved areas will be maintained and will be valid throughout the national territory. In this way, applicants will be able to opt for the Graduate degree by examining the failed areas in successive calls.
Likewise, people who have previously completed Compulsory Secondary Education, in the general system or for adults, and have passed certain subjects or areas will be exempt from taking the corresponding tests, in accordance with the established equivalences.
Once the tests on April 23 are completed, a new application submission period will open, from April 25 to May 16 to participate in the call corresponding to the month of June 2022.
BACHELOR'S TESTS
As for the tests aimed at obtaining the Bachelor's degree for people over 20 years of age, this Saturday, April 23, the second day of the tests that began on Saturday, April 2, takes place. According to the registration data of the Ministry of Education and Sports in this call, a total of 235 people participate in the province of Córdoba for whose organization an evaluation commission has been constituted in our province.
This Saturday, the applicants will examine the subjects belonging to the block of core subjects of option and specific subjects of the different modalities of the baccalaureate.
The objective of these tests is to provide Andalusians with access to an official academic qualification, favoring their reincorporation into the educational system to complete their training with higher education.
To obtain the Bachelor's degree, it is necessary to pass all the exercises, although approved subjects may be reserved for future calls. For their part, people who have already studied and passed one or more subjects in Baccalaureate or equivalent education will be exempt from taking part of the tests.
PREVENTION MEASURES
In accordance with the Instructions of April 20, 2022, of the Vice-Ministry of Education and Sports, the use of the mask will not be mandatory in the centers hosting the tests, but without prejudice to the foregoing, the fundamental objective must be maintained to offer a safe school environment to the participants in the tests and to the professionals who work in the development of the same.
Thus, it is necessary to maintain the prevention, protection, surveillance and health promotion measures that are being carried out in educational centers and services. Therefore, the use of a mask is recommended both in access and in the stay in the educational center during the tests.
