The National Autonomous Union of Higher Education and Scientific Research (SNAESURS) decides to carry out its recently brandished threat. The union structure calls on all workers in higher education institutions in the country to observe a four-day work stoppage (from January 22 to 26 inclusive).
Through this walkout, SNAESURS intends to protest against the non-application of the memorandum of understanding that it signed on May 14, 2019 with the Guinean government, the delay in the payment of grants for quarters 3 and 4 of 2020 for institutions of higher education and scientific research centers, late payment of incentive bonuses for teachers, etc.
The union structure announces that the strike will be renewed if at the end of these four days, nothing is done in the direction of the satisfaction of its demands.
