The changes that the 2023 admission process brings to Chile's universities

This year the transition of the higher education admission system will end, with a 2023 admission process that will be marked by the taking of the Winter Test (which took place in July) and with the new Entrance Test of the Higher Education (PAES).

After years of work between the authorities of the Ministry of Education (Mineduc), the Department of Evaluation, Measurement and Educational Registration (DEMRE) and the various universities involved in the process, a new modality will be established that will come with tests with more relevant content, which reflect fewer previous inequities, and that provide students with greater flexibility and opportunities.
