Saber 11, Pre Saber and Validating
These tests, which were carried out in April and August, left an important balance:
During the B calendar tests in April, more than 120 thousand people took the tests, in 260 application sites located in 92 municipalities. Meanwhile, the most massive call was made in August, when more than 640 thousand people took these tests in 1,550 application sites established in 546 municipalities throughout the national territory.
The Saber 11 test is aimed not only at students who are about to finish their eleventh grade in educational establishments or validation institutes, but also at those who wish to improve their score or who have not yet taken this exam.
Likewise, the Icfes offers the Academic Baccalaureate Validation test for people over 18 years of age who were unable to complete the formal education cycle and can obtain their high school diploma. The Pre Saber exam seeks to familiarize students in ninth and tenth grades with the structure and conditions of the Saber 11 application.
Saber Pro and Saber TyT
In July, the Saber Pro and TyT tests were administered for the first semester to more than 200,000 students of university courses and technical and technological programs, in a hybrid manner, that is, using electronic and pencil or paper modalities at 430 application sites located in more than 270 municipalities throughout the country.
Meanwhile, in September, the second application of these tests was carried out to more than 2,800,000 students at 320 application sites located in more than 100 municipalities throughout the country.
In October, nearly 2,000 people took the Saber Pro or TyT tests electronically abroad in 94 cities in more than 40 countries.
These tests are aimed at students from Higher Education Institutions who have already completed 75% of the credits for their respective professional, technical or technological university training programs and who, for various reasons, were in the country or outside of Colombia at the time of the exam.
National Police and Superior Council of the Judiciary
The application of the 2024 National Police Patrolman Promotion Competition, an exam that assesses psychotechnical qualities and police knowledge, was carried out with great success. A total of 24,000 patrolmen were summoned for this application, achieving a 98.73% of applications in 85 sites nationwide.
On the other hand, in the months of May and October, the State exam was administered electronically by the Higher Council of the Judiciary for more than 2 thousand lawyers at 50 application sites throughout the country. This test, which was administered for the first time this year, is a requirement for those people who have been trained in Law.
