Mexico's School Calendar for 2021-2022

The agreement that lengthens the calendar for the 2021-2022 school year was published this Thursday in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) ... and it will last longer.
As of its publication, it becomes effective, so the start date of the 2021-2022 school year for basic level will be August 30, 2021 and will end on July 28, 2022.
This school calendar will be valid for public and private schools incorporated into the National Educational System.
"The school calendar of two hundred days is established for the 2021-2022 school year, applicable throughout the Republic for preschool, primary and secondary, public and private schools incorporated into the National Educational System", is stipulated in the DOF.
The SEP previously announced that there will be an extraordinary recovery period, the objective of which is to address learning lags and deficiencies. The dates for this phase will be from September 13, 2021 to November 23.
Registration and re-registration for the 2021-2022 school year will take place from August 16 to September 10.
In the event that adequate sanitary conditions do not exist, the corresponding legal provisions, which were issued by the Ministry of Public Education in order to establish a specific regulatory framework during the health contingency due to COVID-19, must be applied.
