Karnataka SSLC and PUC Exams 2021 Postponed until May and June

Karnataka SSLC 2021 examinations would be conducted in June first week. Also, the PUC IInd year or Class 12 examinations would be conducted in May 2021, confirmed Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar on Wednesday. Finalized syllabus for the two classes has also been sent to all the schools and pre-university colleges in the state.
Apart from releasing the official notice, Kumar also tweeted that the Secondary PUC or PUC II Examinations would begin from second week of May while the SSLC Exams 2021 would begin from first week of June in the state of Karnataka. Check the tweet below. This cames a week after Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that CBSE Board Exams 2021 would begin from May 4 and end by June 10. 2021.
Schools and Colleges reopened for students in Karnataka after nearly nine months on January 1, 2021. The Education Department has accordingly decided to postpone the examinations, which are usually conducted in February and March in the state.
The official press statement from the Education Department has not shared the date sheet as yet. The detailed time table is expected to be released on the official websites soon. Students who have registered for the examination are advised to keep a check on the official website for KSEEB and PUE-Karnataka.
On the possibility of reduction on syllabus for Classes 1 to 9, the Education Minister confirmed that there was no proposal for the same. He also shared that an alternative calendar has already been shared with the schools. Furthermore, the evaluation for these classes would be done at the school level and would be based on students’ learning ability.
