Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) with professional, technical and technological programs will be able to register their students until January 10, to take the Saber Pro and Saber TyT tests for the first semester of this 2023.
The general director of the Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education (Icfes), Andrés Molano, called for the institutions to carry out the registration of students within the established time.“
We call on the IES so that, according to the schedule, they carry out the pre-registration process for students between Monday, January 23 and Friday, February 10. It is not necessary to have approved 100% of the credits to carry out this process” he stated.
Along the same lines, he specified that those who have completed more than 75% of the academic program may take this test.
The Saber Pro tests, like the TyT, are a tool that allows measuring the quality of education of Higher Education Institutions throughout the country, as well as measuring the relevance of different academic programs.
"This evaluation, which is carried out twice a year and is a pioneer in Latin America, provides detailed information on the generic and specific competencies of students who are currently enrolled in different academic programs in the country's higher education institutions," added the general director of the icfes.
The application of these tests will be carried out in 2023 according to Icfes, on Saturday May 27 and Sunday June 11.
Meanwhile, the summons of the tests will be announced through the email registered by the educational institution , on Friday, May 12.
