The results for the 2024 HSC and equivalent exams will be announced through subject mapping.
The Dhaka Education Board has issued an urgent notice to collect information from students by September 12.
After gathering this data, a proposal related to subject mapping will be sent to the Ministry. If approved, results will be released within a month.
In the past, results have been published using the subject mapping method by averaging results from JSC and SSC exams. This method was also used during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Professor Tapan Kumar Sarker, chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, informed media that the process of subject mapping is underway.
“Once the evaluation is complete, the proposal will be sent to the Ministry for approval, and results will be released within a month,” said the chairman.
The HSC results for 2020 were determined using subject mapping, and in 2021, the method was applied to three subjects, with mapping used for the remaining subjects.
The HSC exams began on June 30 nationwide with 1,450,790 candidates.
Due to violence related to the quota reform movement, exams on July 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, and August 1 and 4 were postponed.
A new schedule was released on September 11, and students later demanded results through subject mapping instead of taking the remaining exams.
The decision was made not to conduct the remaining exams, and the results will be based on subject mapping for the subjects not tested.
