The Minister of Education Roman Plaga (ANO) presented the form of school-leaving examinations and final examinations at vocational schools in 2021. He also revealed the form of graduations at higher vocational schools and conservatories. "Not only did we listen to the position of the students themselves, but we also talked about it with teachers and school principals and tried to find a solution that would take into account the complexity of the current situation. I believe that we managed to find a balanced solution, "said Plaga.
The school-leaving examination will continue to be divided into two parts in the 2020/21 school year. The first part of the exam is common and includes a test in Czech language and literature and an optional test in mathematics or a foreign language. The second part of the school-leaving examination is the so-called profile - the school creates it itself according to the study programs. In this part there is again a test in Czech language and literature, an exam in a foreign language (if the student chose it in the common part) and two or three other subjects according to the field of study. In the first part, you can choose an optional test in a foreign language, mathematics and extension mathematics. Stylistic works from Czech and a foreign language are canceled.
The deadline for submitting an application for the matriculation examination, which the student wants to take in 2021, was December 1, 2020. The alternative deadline for submitting the application for passing the matriculation examination in late 2021 is set for June 25, 2021.
Matura exams 2021

Those students who participated compulsorily or voluntarily in work in hospitals or social facilities instead of one regular term and two corrections, services are entitled to one regular term and three corrective terms.
The time for elaboration of didactic tests was extended by 10 minutes for the Czech language, literature and foreign language and by 15 minutes for the test in mathematics. The test from Czech has a new time limit of 85 minutes, the test from a foreign language 110 minutes and graduates have 135 minutes for mathematics. For the advanced math test, time remains unchanged.
